Our data sources

Updated 2026-05-02

Transparency about data is part of trust. Here's where our signals come from.

Carrier and numbering metadata

Number ranges, type allocations, and porting status from public Ofcom data and licensed telecom intelligence providers.

User reports

Reports submitted directly by WhoCalledMe.ai users. We display aggregate counts and category distributions, never personally identifying details about reporters.

Public scam databases

Cross-referenced against publicly maintained lists from consumer protection bodies and open-source spam intelligence feeds.

What we do not use

We do not buy mobile location data, contact lists, or bank transaction history. We do not run reverse-lookup against private directories.
